Dr. Lynda E. Mbah is an American Board of Family Medicine Physician and Obesity Medicine specialist specialized in both primary care and obesity medicine. She has been practicing medicine since 2010. She graduated cum laude from University of Texas-Dallas, Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002. She obtained her medical degree in 2010 from The University of Texas-Houston Medical School (aka McGovern Medical School). She completed her internship and residency training at Louisiana State University Family Medicine Residency in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She holds memberships in various professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. She is also a member of the Medical Ethics Committee at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano and the Advocacy Committee at Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). She received numerous awards in her college years including Golden Key honor society, National Dean’s List, and Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In medical school, she was also a recipient of the Hardin Parents Organization Scholarship award and recipient of Houston Medical Forum Scholarship award.
